Care for the Whole Community

Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital has been providing psychiatric services for teens and adults for more than 40 years, offering individualized, trauma-informed programs that treat the “whole person,” not just the illness they’re battling. Our long-tenured staff focuses on an individual’s strengths and their connections to the community, encouraging patients to actively participate in their recovery. Located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, in Montgomery County, we offer support, guidance and intervention to help our patients to cope with their issues and improve functioning so they can look toward a brighter future.

Confidential, no-cost assessments are available 24/7 by calling 800-256-5300.

Our Services

The adult inpatient program is designed to help adults age 18 and older to stabilize from emotional crisis or symptoms of acute mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma-related issues and disorders. Our approach to treatment is influenced by “Trauma-Informed Care,” a treatment modality that takes into account everything in a patient’s past to carve out a brighter future in recovery.

The adolescent inpatient program meets the unique needs of teens age 13 to 18 (but who are still in school) that are struggling with behavioral issues or mental health issues like depression and anxiety. Patients and families work closely with the treatment team to put together individualized plans to get the patients back on a healthy track. We coordinate with the patient’s school during their stay to make sure they don’t fall behind while receiving care.

Our Extended Acute Care program is a longer program specifically for patients from Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Delaware Counties. The program offers longer stays for patients that require a more collaborative approach to treatment than other residential programs available in the area. Patients focus significantly on recovery methods and how to maintain that recovery long-term.

Our hospital does not offer pet therapy, but we do take pride in our canine visitor, Bruce the Dog. Our hypoallergenic Golden Doodle visits every Wednesday to provide a friendly face and support to patients of all ages, helping us all feel more at ease and more at home. We consider him a member of the staff at our hospital and he’s just as eager to help as we are.
